SCCYSL Pistol Program
The SCCYSL supports a small bore Pistol Program. Thanks to a grant from the NRA Foundation, we have purchased five Ruger Mark III target pistols. These are competition grade target guns with bull barrels. We have also outfitted these pistols with red/green dot sights to improve sight picture. The Pistol Program meets on Monday evenings concurrently with the Small Bore Rifle Program. Pistol Program participation is by invitation. Youngsters must show proficiency and responsibility to be invited to participate on the Pistol Program. Parents, please email John Flynn for more information on this program. EXPERT SHOOTERS IN THE WINCHESTER/NRA CONVENTIONAL BULLSEYE PISTOL QUALIFICATION PROGRAM

Nathan M. is the FIRST SCCYSL member to achieve the rank of Expert in the Winchester/NRA BULLSEYE Pistol Program. Nathan already holds the Expert classification in Rifle and Shotgun as well as the Distinguished Expert ratings in Rifle and Shotgun. Nathan is shown receiving his Pistol Expert certificate from John Flynn, SCCYSL Secretary and Coach of the SCCYSL Pistol Program. The award was presented on February 22, 2016. Congratulations to Nathan!
